Paid social

Creative ads where people actually scroll.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. We research the audience, make the creative, write the copy, build the campaigns and manage them month to month — priced by the budget you're putting to work.

The work is identical in all three packages. What changes is how much budget is under management — and how much attention that budget needs. We'd rather say that plainly than invent features to justify a higher tier.

What's included

Every package, in full

Ad research & planning

Who we're targeting, on which platform, with what offer. We look at your existing customers, your competitors' ads, and the audience sizes available before anything gets built.

Ad creative design

The images and video that stop the scroll, sized correctly for each placement — feed, Stories, Reels, Shorts. Refreshed when performance starts to fatigue, not on a fixed schedule.

Ad copywriting

Primary text, headlines and calls to action written per audience, with variants so the platform has something to test.

Ad campaign setup

Campaign structure, audiences, placements, budgets, bidding and conversion tracking built inside your own ad accounts.

Campaign management

Ongoing work: shifting budget to what's converting, cutting what isn't, adjusting audiences, and swapping creative before it burns out.

Monthly reporting

What ran, what it cost, what it returned, and what changes next month — in plain language, not a dashboard export.

How it works

You're interrupting, not answering

This is the whole difference between paid social and Google Ads, and it changes everything about how the campaigns are built.

On Google, somebody types "emergency plumber Mississauga". They have the problem, they want it solved now, and your ad is the answer. Intent is already there — you're competing to be the one who answers.

On Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, nobody is looking for you. They're watching a video, catching up with family, killing ten minutes. Your ad is an interruption.

That's not a weakness — it's the point. Search can only capture demand that already exists. Paid social creates it, which is how you reach the person who didn't know your service existed, or hadn't got round to booking it yet.

But it means the ad has to earn attention it wasn't given. Which is why every package includes creative design and copywriting: on search you can win with the right keyword and a decent line of text. On social, a bad ad simply gets scrolled past, no matter how well the targeting is set up.

What that means practically

  • Creative is the main lever. On social, the ad itself drives most of the performance difference — more than audience settings do.
  • Ads fatigue. The same people see them repeatedly, performance decays, and the fix is new creative rather than a higher bid.
  • The offer has to be legible in about a second. Nobody is reading paragraph two.
  • Targeting matters less than it used to. The platforms' algorithms find buyers well when given good creative and a clean conversion signal. Over-narrow targeting now usually hurts.
  • Attribution is murkier than on search. Someone sees an ad on Instagram and searches your name three days later. Expect the platform and your own records to disagree.
Platforms

Four platforms, different jobs

Every package covers all four. Which we actually use depends on where your customers are — we'd rather run two properly than four badly.

Broadest reach

Facebook

  • Still the widest audience in Canada over 35
  • Strongest for local services and home improvement
  • Lead forms that work without leaving the app
  • Cheapest reach of the four, generally
Visual products

Instagram

  • Anything where the result is worth looking at
  • Before-and-after work performs unusually well
  • Reels reach beyond your followers
  • Shares an ad account with Facebook
Younger, cheaper

TikTok

  • Lower cost per view than the others right now
  • Rewards native, unpolished video over ad-looking ads
  • Strong for food, fitness, retail, trades-with-personality
  • Weak for high-consideration professional services
Demonstration

YouTube

  • Room to actually explain something
  • Good for services people need convincing about
  • Bought through Google, not Meta
  • Needs the most production effort
Creative

What we make, and what we need from you

What's produced each month

Static images and short-form video sized correctly for each placement — feed, Stories, Reels, Shorts — because an ad cropped wrong reads as an ad, and ads that read as ads get scrolled.

Copy is written per audience with variants, so the platform has something to test rather than one message it must either win or lose with.

Creative gets refreshed when performance starts to fatigue, not on a fixed calendar. Rotating good creative out on schedule is as wasteful as leaving bad creative running.

What helps enormously

  • Photos of real work. Job sites, finished results, your actual van, your actual team. These consistently outperform stock imagery.
  • Rough phone video. Thirty seconds of you explaining something, filmed badly, often beats a polished edit — particularly on TikTok and Reels.
  • Before-and-afters. The single most reliable format for trades, detailing, landscaping, dental and fitness.
  • Your actual offer. Free quote, same-week booking, a genuine seasonal discount. Something to respond to.

If none of that exists yet, we start with what you have and build the library as we go. It's not a blocker — it's just the fastest way to get better results sooner.

First 90 days

What actually happens, and when

  1. Week 1

    Research and access

Audience research, a look at what your competitors are running — their active ads are public — account access or setup, and the conversion tracking pixel installed and verified on your site.

  2. Week 2

    Creative and launch

First creative set designed and copy written across placements, campaign structure built, audiences and budgets configured. You approve the creative, then it goes live.

  3. Weeks 3–6

    Finding what lands

Some creative works and some doesn't, and it is genuinely hard to predict which in advance. Budget consolidates behind what's converting, losing variants are cut, and the next set is built from what the winners had in common.

  4. Weeks 7–12

    Scaling and refreshing

Working campaigns get more budget, retargeting is layered on for people who engaged but didn't convert, and creative refreshes begin as the first sets start to fatigue.

Questions

Paid social, answered

Is the ad budget included in the management fee?

No. The management fee pays for our work. The ad budget is what you pay Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube for the ads themselves, billed by them, to you. On the Core package that's $300 to us and up to $600 to the platforms.

Which platforms do you run ads on?

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Every package covers all four. Which ones we actually use depends on where your customers are — we'd rather run two platforms well than four badly.

Do you make the ad creative, or do I supply it?

We make it. Ad creative design and copywriting are included in every package, Core included. If you already have brand photography or video you want used, we'll work with it.

How quickly do campaigns go live?

Usually a week to ten days from kickoff: research and planning first, then creative and copy for your approval, then build and launch. Rushing the research is how budget gets wasted.

What if I spend more than $10,000 some months and less in others?

We look at the pattern, not a single month. If your spend settles above $10,000 for a full month we'd move you to Enhanced from the next cycle and tell you first. A one-off spike doesn't change your package.
